***This is a special course designed for paramedics, medical students and residents only. Staff Physicians and Nurse Practitioners who attempt to register will have their registrations rejected and the administrative cost will be deducted***
Program Objectives
EDE Acute Care Core is an intense 1-day hands-on workshop is designed for participants to complete the practical training component of their introductory course in point-of-care ultrasound.
An online mandatory precourse must be completed before the course day so we can focus on maximum time at bedside with hands-on probe training. It is suggested to schedule a minimum of 10 hours to complete the precourse.
In this course, we will cover point-of-care detection of;
- Pericardial Effusions & Global Cardiac Contractility
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms
- Abdominal Free Fluid
- Pneumothorax
- Pleural Effusions
- Pulmonary Edema
- IV Access
This is as a precourse before the CAWM conference so therefore no discount coupons will be accepted.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation requests received less than 42 days (6 weeks) from the first course day of the course will not be eligible for any credit, refund or transfer. Please see the FAQs page for our full cancellation policy.
Prairie PoCUS reserves the right to cancel a course 28 days (4 weeks) prior to the first day of a course if we have not received a minimum number of registrations. If this does occur, participants will have the option to move their registration to a future date or receive a full refund.
